19 November - 10 December 2011
Maki Fine Arts is pleased to present "Winter Show" opening Saturday, November 19, 2011. This group show will feature a collage of new and previous works from five internationally established artists, including works from our gallery artists as well as works from private collections.
On the 10th anniversary of the publication of his debut photo collection "Mahiru [midday]" (2001 Seigensha Art Publication, Inc.), Tomoki Imai will present works hand-picked from his "Mahiru" series. Yuken Teruya will take his well-known "You-I, You-I" Bingata-dyed kimono and unfurl it onto a flat surface. Michiko Nakatani, incentive award recipient of the 2010 VOCA art competition, will showcase works focusing on her drawings. Midori Harima, a working artist in New York, will exhibit her series of converting photographs of everyday-items into three-dimensional sculptures. And from Cologne, Germany, Peter Zimmermann will showcase his paintings.
