26 May - 16 June 2012
Maki Fine Arts is pleased to present "-impression-," a solo show by Michiko Nakatani, from Saturday, May 26 through Saturday, June 16, 2012. Best known for her work created by pouring resin into the relief carving of a girl's image, the sculptor will showcase her latest works at this exhibition.
The realm of "what is already gone."
The realm of "what is yet to exist."
The realm of "what exists now."
I continue to explore ways to interlink these realms.
I wish for the transparent mass of an image to be released from gravity, to exist within a brand new, intimate silence, and to communicate.
In the series entitled "-impression bird-," I am attempting to grasp the "existence of absence."
